  1. We review the ads.

We maintain sole discretion for determining the types of ads that will be accepted and displayed on Community Health Pro Media properties. We reserve the right to reject, cancel, or remove any ads at any time and for any reason. We will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any ad, along with an explanation. We also reserve the right to determine the appropriate placement of ads on Community Health Pro Media properties.

  1. We don’t endorse any advertised products or services.

Although products may appear on our site in the form of advertisements, under no circumstances shall our acceptance of any ad be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised, or for the company that manufactures, distributes, or promotes these product(s) or service(s). In some cases, Community Health Pro Media’s editorial team may rate or rank certain products or services. These ratings or rankings are determined solely by the editorial team(s) without regard to any financial or advertising relationship that may exist with companies that provide the product or services.

  1. We will not accept certain types of ads.

We will not accept any ad that is factually inaccurate and/or, in our opinion, in poor taste. Pharmaceutical advertising is only accepted for approved indication(s) as determined by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). Advertised products must be in market and readily available. Community Health Pro Media will not permit, at any time, the placement of any ad for harmful, illegal, or objectionable products or services. Ads must not contain fraudulent, deceptive, or offensive material, including material that misrepresents, ridicules, or attacks an individual or group on the basis of age, colour, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or disability. Ads should not contain defamatory, libellous, slanderous, or threatening information. Ads must not be related to alcohol, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, gambling, pornography, tobacco, political campaigns, or the simulation of news or an emergency. All ads must clearly identify the advertiser. Any ad that could be misconstrued as editorial content will be clearly labelled as an advertisement.

  1. We clearly distinguish ads from editorial content.

In every instance, we maintain a distinct separation between advertisements and editorial content. All ads on Community Health Pro Media properties are clearly and unambiguously identified as such. Clicking on an ad will take the user to an advertiser’s site or to a sponsor’s resource centre hosted on a Community Health Pro Media property. Sponsored resource centres are labelled as such, with the name of the sponsoring entity displayed.

  1. We clearly distinguish between sponsored and non­-sponsored content.

Community Health Pro Media seeks sponsorships from trusted and credible research organizations, manufacturers, and other service providers. Sponsorships provide financial benefit to Community Health Pro,  but also benefit our users by providing current information on health services, medications, and treatments. Editorial content sponsored by an advertiser is subject to our editorial policy and is reviewed by our editorial staff and Medical Affairs team. When content (sponsored content, co-created content, or branded content) is provided by or influenced by a named sponsor, we take meaningful steps to ensure our users will not confuse that sponsored content with Community Health Pro Media’s own original editorial content. Native advertising refers to links or ads within a piece of content that link to other content. Community Health Pro Media may present advertising messages, advertisements, or sponsored posts in its social media channels.

  1. Affiliate program (e-commerce links in Community Health Pro Media content)

As part of the article creation process, our health and wellness editors will include links to relevant products they feel could be useful to our readers. While all products are chosen independently, we want you to know that Community Health Pro Media may receive a payment if you make a purchase at the retailer’s site within 24 hours of clicking on one of the links we provide.

Introduction

We receive information from or about you depending on the nature of your interaction with our Services.

Your name, email address, physical address, birth date, gender, zip/city, marital status, other location information (when using specific products that are not available in all geographies), and health information (diagnosis, when you were diagnosed, what medications you’re taking, or what type of care you’re looking for). We also may collect information relating to the actions that you perform while logged into your account or that you provide when using a product, such as scheduling medical care. Accounts can be used for easy checkout, save your preferences, select areas of interest, and transaction history. The purpose for collection and use of this data is that we have a business need to provide account related functionalities to our users.
  • Information you post on the Services. When available on the Services, we may collect Personal Information from you when you provide or post information to our Services, including your username, comments, likes, interests, status, pictures, and references to your online presence. We may use this information for our purposes and/or make this information available to others as you request.
  • Information you provide about others. Sometimes, you may provide information about others; for example, to refer a friend for a newsletter. We may use this information to make our Services available to the people you refer.

If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications, or if you’ve initially agreed for the application to access your camera and photos and you would like to stop the Apps from accessing them, you may turn them off at the device level. To ensure you receive proper notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device such as operating system and user identification information.
  • Employment-related data (directly from you). When you choose to apply for employment with Community Health Pro,  we collect information necessary to process your application or to retain you as an employee. This may include, among other things, your resume or CV, Social Security Number, and other information you provide during the application and recruitment process. The purpose of collection is to help us match you to open positions, facilitate the recruiting process, and perform our contract of employment or the anticipation of employment with you.

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect information, when:

  • E-mail interconnectivity. If you receive email from us, we may use tools to capture data related to when you open our message, click on any links or banners it contains and make purchases. The purpose for collection and use of this data is that we have a business need to understand how you interact with our communications to you and honouring your requests based on our communications, such as to unsubscribe.
  • Mobile devices (such as phones, tablets, and other digital media streaming devices).We may collect information from your Mobile Device, such as unique identifying information broadcast from your device when visiting one of our Services. The purposes of collection and use of this data are that we have a business need to identify unique visitors and understand how users interact with us on their devices.
  • Website interactions. We use technology to discover how you interact with our website (e.g., session replay). This may include which links you click on, or information that you type into our online forms. This may also include information about your device or browser. Information we receive from other sources

  • Client information. We may collect contact information such as name, e-mail, address and/or phone number of our business clients and their employees with whom we may interact. The purposes for collection and use of this data is that we have a business need to make our website operate efficiently and to provide our business clients with ability to save preferences such as login and preferred language.
  • Financial information. We may collect information from credit reporting services when you use certain of our Services. We use the information as needed in the course of providing services you request, ongoing customer relationships, to service an account, and as permitted by state and federal law.
  • Demographic information. Personal Information such as your age, gender, family size, and/or educational level. The purpose for collection and use of this data is that we have a business need to customize content, advertising and learn about our audiences.
  • Activity and usage information. Including information about your interests, purchase behaviour, and other navigation data, such as websites visited and advertisements viewed or clicked on, used to customize content and advertising.

  • Social media platforms and other third-party services. We may also collect information about you through interactive applications (e.g., mobile devices, third party social networking services, and embedded audio and video players), from co-branded partners and websites (e.g., on our Facebook pages), from our advertisers, and from commercially available sources (e.g., data aggregators and public databases). This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of third parties, including those that may disclose information to us.

  • Employment-related data. When you choose to apply for employment with Community Health Pro, including information from a recruitment agency. The purpose of collection is to help us match you to open positions and facilitate the recruiting process.

In order to continue to provide the Services free of charge, we are supported by advertisers and other partners. As part of our advertising and partnerships, we work closely with third parties (for example, business partners, advertising networks, analytics providers and search information providers) and may receive information about you from them. In those circumstances, the privacy policy of that third party will apply.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We use personal information about you in connection with the following purposes:

  • To identify you when you engage with us and our Websites, Services, and Products.
  • To provide content and product recommendations based on your interactions and interests.
  • To make our Services available to you and to complete orders placed in our Services and with our Partners.
  • To process transactions associated with your use of Services for which there is a charge, including to process payments and verify your identity or payment information for your security and protection.
  • To communicate with you (e.g., about your account or updates to our terms) and to respond to inquiries related to support, employment opportunities, or other requests.

Although the sections above describe our primary purpose(s) in collecting your information, in many situations we have more than one purpose.

For example, if you complete an online purchase, we may collect your information to perform our contract with you, but we also collect your information as we have a business need in maintaining your information after your transaction is complete so that we can quickly and easily respond to any questions about your order. As a result, our collection and processing of your information is based in different contexts upon your consent, our need to perform a contract, our obligations under law, and/or our legitimate business reasons.

How and When Do We Share or Disclose Your Information?

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this policy, we may disclose your Personal Information in the following situations:

  • With the Public Health Pro family of Websites and Apps, affiliates, and acquisitions. We may share your information with our Websites (www.communityhealthpro.com) for purposes and uses consistent with this Privacy Policy. We also may share your Personal Information with our corporate affiliates (e.g., parent company, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control). If another company acquires, or plans to acquire, our company, business, or our assets, we will also share your Personal Information with that company using appropriate safeguards, including at the negotiation stage.
  • Our business clients. When we collect information on behalf of our business clients, we share that information with those clients.
  • To enhance our Services. We may share your information with third parties who provide services on our behalf to help with our business activities such as ad technology providers, authentication services, email service providers, data analyzers, and business intelligence providers for the purpose of enhancing our products and services. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
  • Partner promotion. We may offer contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions with third party partners. If you decide to enter a contest, sweepstakes, or promotion that is sponsored by and/or associated with a third-party partner, then the information that you provide will be shared with us and with them. Their use of your information is not governed by this privacy policy.
  • Audience measurement services. We may share your Personal Information with audience measurement companies like Comscore and Nielsen that help us and other websites measure and understand the audiences that view our content.
  • Video viewing behavior. Consistent with applicable law, we may share your video viewing behavior with third parties including advertising companies, analytics partners, and social media sites.
  • Aggregated and anonymous information. We may share aggregated, anonymous information with any third party. This information is not linked to personal information that can identify you or another individual person.
  • Advertising. We may share certain data with Advertising platforms, such as Google and Social Networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Snapchat to allow us to target existing users and customers with highly relevant advertising campaigns. For the purposes of such campaigns. We may share a unique code (such as a hashed email address) with the applicable Advertising platform in order for that identifier to be matched against existing users of the relevant Advertising Platform and to identify potentially relevant audiences for targeted advertising. We use services such as Google Ads’ Customer Match, LinkedIn Matched Audiences, LiveRamp and Facebook Custom Audiences for these purposes.

In addition to advertisements for our own goods and services, we may also facilitate third parties to advertise their own goods and services including by targeting those advertisements to those that might be most interested in them. These advertisements may be shown within our Services. In order to provide advertisements relevant to you, your IP address may be used, as well as your operating system and device type. Information about your particular device will be used to show you advertisements which work properly on that device. You may be able to adjust your preferences by visiting our Cookie Policy or below in the ‘Your Choices’ section of this policy.

  • Public. Some of our Services may provide the opportunity to post comments, or reviews, in a public forum. If you decide to submit information on our Services, that information may be publicly available.
  • Other persons or entities with your consent. With appropriate consent when required, certain Services may share your Personal Information with third party marketing partners, and they may contact you by email, telephone, postal mail or other common communication methods with marketing and promotional messages about their products or services. Social Features

Some of our Services may include features that are designed to permit interactions that you initiate between our site and third-party websites or services, including third-party social networks (collectively, “Social Features”). For example, you may be able to “like” or “share” content from our Services on other websites or services, such as Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, YouTube/Google, and LinkedIn. If you use Social Features on our Services or access our Services from Social Features, both Public Health Pro and the social media services that operate those Social Features may have access to certain information about you and your use of both our site and theirs. If you are a member of a social media site and logged in, the interfaces configured on our Services may allow the social media site to connect your site visit and browsing behavior to the personal data held on your social media site. We may use this information on an aggregate basis to place ads that are based on your interests on these social media sites. Community Health Pro’s mission is to empower people through support, hope, and knowledge. We strive to ensure all members feel welcome, safe, and respected. Following the guidelines below helps to keep the community safe for everyone.

THE RULES:

Any manner of bullying, intimidation, or harassment is forbidden.

This is not a dating application; using the App in that way will result in expulsion from the community.

You may not post pornographic or violent content in messages, in group chats, or on your profile. This includes adding photographs, drawings, or comments, even as a joke. Depictions of nudity in non-sexual contexts, such as images of your surgery scars, are okay.

Do not ask other members to take the conversation to another messaging platform such as WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, Gmail, etc.

The promotion, advertising, or selling of any goods or services is not allowed. Unauthorized content will be removed from the App.

Do not attempt to convert other members to your religious beliefs or otherwise make them feel uncomfortable.

It should go without saying, but all illegal activity is prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Finally, don’t spam anyone.

REPORTING

We rely on you, our Apps community members, to report other members or content that violates these guidelines. Violating these Community Guidelines has consequences, which may include removal of content, suspension of posting privileges, or even expulsion from the Apps community. Please keep in mind that while something may be disagreeable to you, it does not necessarily violate our Community Guidelines.

TO REPORT ANOTHER MEMBER OR CONTENT

When reporting another member, you have two options:

Block Member: This blocks both parties from showing up in the other person’s Member list, Home activity feed, and Group discussions. In addition, 1:1 communication is not possible.

Report and Block Member: In addition to blocking the member, this creates a report, marking this member as someone who has broken the community guidelines.

After you are already connected with another member, you may click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner in your private messaging screen and choose “Report” or “Block” from the menu options.

Long-press on the offensive message and select “Block Member” or “Report and Block Member.”

Home

Click on the member’s profile picture and tap “Block Member” or “Report and Block Member.”

Press the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the offensive message and select ‘‘Block Member” or “Report and Block Member.”

INDEMNITY

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Community Health Pro, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers harmless from and against any claims, actions or demands, liabilities, and settlements, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting from, or alleged to result from, (i) your use of and access of the Services, (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms of Use, (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right, or (iv) any claim that your use of the Services caused damage to a third party.

LOCATION AND SURVIVAL

Community Health Pro is based in Ogun State, Nigeria. Community Health Pro makes no claims that the Content is appropriate or may be downloaded outside of the Nigeria. Access to the Content may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If you access the Services from outside the Nigeria, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

The following provisions survive the expiration or termination of this Terms of Use for any reason whatsoever: Location and Survival, Liability of Community Health Pro and its Licensors, Comments, Indemnity, Jurisdiction, No Waiver, and Complete Agreement and Amendment.

JURISDICTION

You expressly agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute with Community Health Pro, or in any way relating to your use of the Services and/or the Content, resides in Ogun State and you further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of the State of California in connection with any such dispute including any claim involving Community Health Pro or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, telecommunication providers, and content providers.

These Terms of Use are governed by the internal substantive laws of Ogun State, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms of Use, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any of these Terms of Use shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition.

COMMENTS

All comments, feedback, suggestions, ideas, and other submissions disclosed, submitted, or offered to Public Health Pro on or by the Content and/or Services or otherwise disclosed, submitted, or offered in connection with your use of the Content and/or Services (collectively, “Comments”) shall be and remain Community Health Pro’s property. Such disclosure, submission, or offer of any Comments shall constitute an assignment to Community Health Pro of all worldwide right, title, and interest in all copyrights and other intellectual properties in the Comments. Community Health Pro is and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any Comments in confidence; (2) to pay to user any compensation for any Comments; or (3) to respond to any user Comments.

You agree not to post on or transmit through the Services any Comments or other material that:

is unlawful, libellous, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, profane, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable in any manner;

is an advertisement or promotion for any product or service that had not been approved in writing by Community Health Pro;

is false, misleading, or constitutes an unfair or deceptive trade practice;

promotes the use of alcohol, tobacco, or any illegal substance;

constitutes a breach of your contractual and/or fiduciary obligations or an invasion of privacy;

infringes on any third party patent, trademark, trade name, corporate name, trade secret, copyright, publicity, or other proprietary or property rights; or

contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms or other code, scripts, routines, files or programs designed to alter, interrupt, impede, limit, or destroy the performance and/or functioning of any software, hardware, or other equipment.

You further agree that any Comments you provide do not contain any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information of any third party, and will not be treated as confidential by Community Health Pro shall have no obligation to store, keep copies of, or return any Comments. Community Health Pro further reserves the right (but does not have the obligation), in its sole discretion, to modify, delete, or remove any Comments from the Services that it deems to be in violation of the foregoing requirements.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Community Health Pro shall have the right to:

Remove or refuse to post any Comments for any or no reason in our sole discretion.

Take any action with respect to any Comments that We deem necessary or appropriate in our sole discretion, including if We believe that such Comment violates the Terms of Use, infringes any intellectual property right or other right of any person or entity, threatens the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or could create liability for Community Health Pro

Disclose your identity or other information about you to any third party who claims that material posted by you violates their rights, including their intellectual property rights or their right to privacy.

Take appropriate legal action, including without limitation, referral to law enforcement, for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Services.

Terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Services for any or no reason, including without limitation, any violation of these Terms of Use.

Without limiting the foregoing, we have the right to fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing Us to disclose the identity or other information of anyone posting any materials on or through the Services. YOU WAIVE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS FROM ANY CLAIMS RESULTING FROM ANY ACTION TAKEN BY ANY OF THE FOREGOING PARTIES DURING OR AS A RESULT OF ITS INVESTIGATIONS AND FROM ANY ACTIONS TAKEN AS A CONSEQUENCE OF INVESTIGATIONS BY EITHER SUCH PARTIES OR LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES.

However, we cannot review all material before it is posted on the Services and cannot ensure prompt removal of objectionable material after it has been posted. Accordingly, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we assume no liability for any action or inaction regarding transmissions, communications, or content provided by any user or third party. We have no liability or responsibility to anyone for the performance or non-performance of the activities described in this section.

Third-Party Content

Community Health Pro may from time to time post Content supplied by third parties and users (collectively “Third-Party Content”). In addition, if you register to receive our free newsletters and emails that promote the Services (“Newsletters”), you may receive Newsletters containing Third-Party Content or advertising that was sponsored by third parties.

Any opinions, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties in the Third-Party Content are those of the respective author(s) or distributor(s) and not of Community Health Pro does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any Third-Party Content, nor its merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. Additional disclaimers and limitation of liability are noted below.

NOTICES FOR REPORTING AND MAKING CLAIMS OF COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

This policy is intended to comply with the requirements of the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Community Health Pro will investigate notices of copyright infringement and take appropriate actions under the copyright Act of Nigeria. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide Community Health Pro’s copyright agent the written information specified below:

An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.

A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed upon.

A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Services.

Your address, telephone number, and email address.

A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

COMPLETE AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENTS

TERMINATION

You may stop using the Services at any time (subject to the surviving terms set forth herein). Community Health Pro also may terminate these Terms of Use and/or Services at any time and may do so immediately without notice. Accordingly, Community Health Pro may deny you access to the Services, if in Community Health Pro’s sole discretion, you fail to comply with any term or provision of the Terms of Use.

NO WAIVER

Community Health Pro’s failure to enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms of Use will not constitute a waiver of Community Health Pro’s right to subsequently enforce such a provision or any other provision of this Agreement, nor will any delay or omission on the part of Community Health Pro to exercise or take advantage of any right or remedy that Community Health Pro has or may have hereunder, operate as a waiver of any right or remedy.
